Bill Morse - Walking Free: Ending the Landmine Era, One Field at a Time

The Royal Geographical Society - Singapore presents: "Walking Free: Ending the Landmine Era, One Field at a Time" featuring Bill Morse, President of the Landmine Relief Fund.

In Cambodia, landmines and unexploded ordnance – a haunting legacy from decades of conflict – continue to wound and kill for generations. Not only do they pose a direct threat to society, but they also hinder the country's socio-economic development as vast areas of land remain vacant due to uncertainty regarding their safety.

Join us at the Hollandse Club Singapore on 30 October as Bill explains the history of landmines in Cambodia, their residual effects beyond death and injury, the nation's effort to rid itself of these explosives, and what we can do to help solve this problem.
