The Singapore Branch of

The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG)

Founded in August 2018 by William Russell and Dr Oliver Worsley, who wanted to bring together adventurers, geographers, and outdoor-enthusiasts in Singapore and South East Asia. As one of the two international committees of the Society, we seek to promote a comprehensive understanding of Geography among a global audience, in line with the Society's core purpose of advancing geographical science.

Since 2018, RGS-Singapore has hosted over 40 events featuring an extensive range of geographical lectures and seminars with world-class speakers from diverse backgrounds. By delivering programmes which meet the needs and interests of our members in Singapore and other parts of the Asia-Pacific, we hope to engage with everyone with an enthusiasm in geography, travel, and exploration, and inspire the next generation of geographers.
